Mounted Bar Code Scanners
| Mounted scanners are often used in manufacturing applications or automated shipping processes where the Bar Code passes under the scanner automatically. They are also used in some retail point-of-sale applications (POS), where the Bar Code to be scanned is passed in front of the scanner. |

| Mounted scanners come in two different types. Standard scanners can read only properly-oriented Bar Codes, but omni-directional can read Bar Codes no matter which direction they are facing. |
